Previously I made a post about the Unwritten Open Secret About Soapmaking Journey, where I detailed my discovery of my favorite ingredient in soap. Well here’s the continuation of it. In this post, I will be providing the recipe to ensure that we can create more soaps in the future. However, here’s one tip that I believe is VERY IMPORTANT. Before you go to your workshop area to make soap, make sure that the area is clean and free from trashes. This will enable you to prevent your soap from being contaminated by pests or any other bacteria. I like to start properly because I think that’s the key to producing good soaps. I take soapmaking so seriously. So I want to start right, and I want to maintain faithfully doing the right thing. So I hope you do too. Now, I trust that you will do the right thing. I want you to think that this is a really serious relationship for people who both passionately love making soaps. I am committed to sharing my soap recipes here, so you can have them as your guide, now, I want you to do your part too, and make sure that the moment we start your soapmaking journey, you will stay committed. I want us to be able to create more soaps in the future together and be happy while making soaps. I hope you will understand why I have recommended the things mentioned above because trust me I want what’s best for you. I want our soapmaking journey to be a meaningful and joyful one as well as be able to produce many soaps that we will love.
Here is my Peppermint Olive Oil recipe. I call my own version of it as Pepargol soap. I named it pepargol because I combined the first syllable of the name of the 3 ingredients I used. And as I’ve mentioned in the previous post, olive oil is my secret ingredient that I truly love because it feels so good on my skin.
Ingredients:
20 drops of olive oil
10 peppermint oil
10 argan oil
1 pound soap base
Procedure:
- Melt the soap base
- Add the essential oils
- Pour the mixture on a soap molder
- Wait until the soap becomes hard
I hope that you will follow the right measurement to produce a good soap. I hope that you will also refrain from doing things that will hurt you while making soap. As much as possible I try to do my part by writing here my personal experience, as well as my tips and learning as honestly as possible to protect you from getting hurt.
