Various kinds of hair products are available in the market nowadays, however, some of these are made of synthetic ingredients and can be drying and damaging to the hair. Hence, People who are mindful of their hair’s condition and prefer Natural ingredients opt not to choose these harmful products.

It’s important to identify what’s not worth paying attention to. Some harmful products do not deserve to be even ‘considered’ because they don’t have a bearing at all nor any effect on the ‘Hair’. It’s highly recommended that instead of allowing OURselves to ‘consider’ ‘using these harmful hair solutions, WE’d rather focus on Oils and Natural products that can make OUR ‘hair’ grow and look even better.

Coconut oil is one of the oils that’s been proven by research to cause hair growth. This proves, that ‘We’ can be confident that ‘We’ can trust Coconut oil. Concentrating on the effects of Coconut oil will enable US to grow OUR ‘hair’ while properly moisturizing it too. Ergo, allowing the US to have a long and better looking hair.

To learn more about the impact of coconut oil on hair, this post highlights the meaty bits from a 2014 research study about the effect of coconut oil on human hair growth.

Chemical constituent of coconut oil that can enhance hair growth.

Coconut oil contains the triglyceride lauric acid which is a compound that can promote hair growth. Lauric acid has a low molecular weight, hence can penetrate into the hair shaft easily. Due to this easy absorption ability, it allows the hair to be nourished with the needed good nutrients.

Producing an effective Coconut oil to promote hair growth

The manner in which coconut oil is prepared, the purity of raw materials used and the temperature contributes to producing effective coconut oil.

A 2014 study documented the procedure the researchers followed to prepare coconut oil to be used for hair growth. To prepare the coconut oil, 1 liter or 1000 ml of fresh coconut milk was heated for 15 minutes, then was put in the fridge to form two layers which are the top and bottom layers. The bottom layer has water content, while the top layer is rich and contsins short-chain fatty acid that enhances hair growth. To produce the coconut oil, the top layer of the coconut milk must be taken off and melted.

The right temperature must be followed to produce effective coconut oil. When coconut milk is heated at a high temperature it can cause denaturing the short-chain fatty acid thus making it less effective for hair growth.

Adding complementary ingredients for hair growth

When the coconut milk’s top layer has been collected and melted, ground herbs are mixed into the coconut oil and set it aside for 72 hours. To get the pure oil, the debris must be removed then collect the pure oil. Filter the herb oil mixture two times.

Proven Efficacy of coconut oil on human hair growth

Utilizing coconut oil as a hair grower has been investigated in a 2014 study. Various concoctions of coconut oil were prepared. oil 1 is pure coconut oil, oil 2 has coconut oil mixed with habbatussauda or nigella sativa, oil 3 contains coconut oil mixed with aleurites moluccana or candlenut, and oil 4 has coconut oil mixed with both herbs. To test the oils efficacy for hair growth, three volunteers were enrolled in the study. The head of the participants was shaved in five portions. Each shaven part has been assigned to a particular oil solution. A particular region was designated as a control where no treatment was applied. Meanwhile, the other parts of the shaven scalp were assigned for the application of the four oil solutions three times per day. The hair growth and length were measured every three days for four weeks. The efficacy of coconut oil was evaluated based on the longest length of hair growth. The hair growth in different regions was compared to identify which coconut oil hair growth solution was the most effective. The test yielded that coconut oil with habbatussauda (Nigella sativa) is the most effective. Within a week, there was hair growth on the shaved parts of the head, and. after four weeks, the hair began to grow heavily.

I do hope that the discussion provided in ‘this’ ‘posted article,’ will make you understand the reason why oils that are denatured and heated at ‘high’ temperatures are not and will not be the preferred oils for Hair.

Coconut oil is an oil that has been utilized for hair care for a long time. It has proven that despite the ‘doubts and controversies’ about its ‘effiCacy’ Coconut oil remained to be a dependable agent for moisturizing, growing, and caring for ‘Hair’. Because of that, I am truly grateful and remain faithful to choosing and preferring Coconut oil.

Transparency note: I know that my hair is rough most of the time and may expose too much of my scalp when it is irritated by certain factors. Despite of the roughness of my hair which can be transparently seen, I am thankful, really thankful, that Coconut oil understands my hair, and its ‘moisturizing’ effect also assists me to understand how to ‘fix’ my tangled hair when I get confused.

Focus on what can makes US grow ❤
