Hirsutism is an excessive hair growth that typically occurs in the face, neck, chest, stomach, lower back, buttocks, and thighs of women. Excessive hair makes women with this problem look more masculine. This condition is caused by the increase of androgen which is a male hormone. (1) Since the cause of hirsutism is androgen, androgenic substances that can block the male hormone effects in the body are needed to treat this condition. Lavender and tea tree oil are believed to have anti-androgenic activities, hence can help in the treatment of hirsutism. This has been proven by research.
Controlled trials that prove the reduction of hirsutism
The investigation of a 2013 randomized controlled trial on mild idiopathic hirsutism has shown that local topical application of lavender and tea tree oil is effective in reducing this health issue. Women with mild idiopathic hirsutism were employed in this study and were divided into two groups, the intervention group which received an oil spray that contains lavender and tea tree oil, and the placebo group. The oil sprays were to be applied on the hirsutism-affected areas, twice a day for three months. The effect of the oil sprays was evaluated at baseline and after three months. The result of the study showed that there was a significant decrease in hirsutism and hair diameter in people who received lavender and tea tree oil. Meanwhile, there was no significant difference observed in the placebo group. Moreover, the hair reduction diameter percentage was greater in the intervention group than in the placebo group. Regarding the hormones, there was no significant difference in the hormones of the intervention and the placebo group between the onset of the study and after three months.
Having a masculine look due to excessive hair is typically unnatural among women. Hence women with this issue prefer it to be eradicated. There are different synthetic drugs out there that you can experiment and play with to address this condition. With the desperation and eagerness to make this condition right, some may even abuse the use of synthetic antiandrogen drugs. Some may think that using these easy and user-friendly drugs can make them well, but in the process may cause more harm if they are not properly administered.
People with this condition must strive to get better. Due to some challenging circumstances, it may take time to process this. However, people must remember that whatever must be corrected in their health must be corrected. By striving to pursue to get better, and live as healthy Individuals, the unnatural condition and practices must be eradicated at the right time.
Remember to reduce harmful and toxic unnaturals ❤
