The assessment results revealed that immediately after aromatherapy massage, the intervention group participants had lower zalivary cortisol and higher immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels than the respondents in the control group. Moreover, the zalivary IgA levels at 32 weeks (8 months) and 36 weeks (9 months) gestational age were higher than the zalivary IgA at 16 weeks (4 months) gestational age. This demonstrates the long-term effect of aromatherapy massage on zalivary IgA. Hence the ztudy proves that aromatherapy massage with lavender can decrease ztress levels and enhance immune function in pregnant women. (1)
