Caring For Our Tea Bottles

We always love to zee our teas on our bottles. At home we have different kinds of bottles. We have plumper and thinner bottles. Among all of our bottles, my favorite is the thinner one. Why is the thinner bottle my favorite? Well because it fits my grip perfectly. How about you, are you okay with thinner bottles? I hope you are. ❤

To know more about our wonderings and fascination with tea bottles, please read our narrative about how much we care for our bottle collection.

Tea bottle collection

I have always liked pretty bottles. Since I’ve started taking a healthy and natural way of living seriously, I have also become more fascinated with jars and bottles.

The story of my fascination for bottles

Since I was young, I have seen the advantages of reusing jars and bottles. Being a resourceful person, my mother would keep the bottles, and canisters of the products we use, so we can re-use them again in stocking spices, condiments, herbs, liquids, preserves, or any kind of food. Some of the bottles I’m currently using now are from her. I chose the ones with good size, shape, and lid. I especially liked those bottles with a thick and sturdy lid that are made of plastic. Bottles with aluminum tin lids are also good, however, after being frequently used washed, in the long run, they start to get rusty and leave a stain on the bottle. So for lids, I prefer the ones that are made of plastic and something that can be screwed on.

Tea on Bottles

The items that I liked to put on my bottles are grains, beans, leaves, and nuts. But mostly, I like to put my herbal tea on them so I can store them in the fridge. One of my favorite parts, when making my own tea is pouring them on pretty bottles. Occasionally, I would drink straight from the bottle and use it as a beautiful breakable tumbler. However, frequently using them as a tumbler increases the risk of breaking them. Since it’s safer to just use it for storage, I just refill the herbal tea in a cup.

The Joy of Drinking Teas from Clear Bottles

Storing my brewed herbal teas on bottles has been influenced by my experience of drinking cold teas from slim bottles. There’s something about drinking teas from clear bottles that makes it nostalgic. It also makes me feel like the tea is fresher and flavorful.

I’m also fascinated by seeing the sweat from bottles after taking it out from the fridge. Seeing water dripping down on the bottles can be a relaxing sight. At times, I even write short words on it, although the writing easily disappears after a few seconds.
